Set up Windows for Development

As of late 2019 Jax IT is issuing Thinkpad laptop and dock running Windows 10 configured with desktop versions of VPN client, MSOffice, Webex, Firefox, Chrome, Adobe Acrobat, Box.

For win7-like ui functionality, right-click on the Start button in lower left.

Admin privs should be requested.

Some things can be conveniently run as web-based software-as-a-service:

Jax IT recommends these tools that you might need to install yourself:

puTTY as a terminal tool (includes pscp for file transfer) VLC media player PostMan API developer tool
